The Skate Park is a new feature in the Park District added in 2011. It is located in Koenigsmark Park. The Waterloo Optimist Club provided the funding and organized the labor to build the skate park. The 2 links below contain the forms with the Skate Park rules and the waiver form. Each patron using the Skate Park must fill out a waiver form and send it along with a copy of a photo id to PO Box 69, Waterloo Illinois, 62298.
Some of the basic rules for the Skate Park are:
- The Skate Park is open from 9:00am to 9:00pm April-October & 9:00am to 8:00pm November-March.
- Children must be at least 10 years old to use the facility and must be supervised by an adult if the participant is under the age of 16 years old.
- Wavier/release of liability are required of ALL patrons of skate park; parent/guardian signatures required for minors (under 18 years of age).
- Waiver forms are available by clicking the link below, from the Waterloo Optimist website, www.waterlooiloptimist.org, and at City Hall & Police Dept. (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM —4:00 PM)
The Roller Hockey rink is located next to the Skate Park. The Roller Hockey rink was resurfaced in 2014 and new walls were installed.
